I have been in textile manufacturing, marketing, and planning for the last 23 years. I have worked in almost all the branches of textile manufacturing, spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing, and stitching. I have been part of teams that manufacture apparel for famous brands.

Though I am still learning textiles, I know a few things about manufacturing that help me to analyze and understand these products. Textile products usually, and apparel specifically, may have countless factors that can be used as a baseline while reviewing a product. However, going into too much detail is out of the scope of this article.

I don’t want it to be a long, boring technical document. Therefore, I have tried to narrow down and focus only on the most relevant terms to this FIOBOC sweatshirt review. I believe these should be considered by users while making a buying decision.

To make my opinion about the different features of this Fioboc sweatshirt, I have continuously used this sweatshirt daily for many days. I used it as casual wear, one time for the office. I wore it for exercises like walking and running. I even used it as sleepwear.

I will go through the notable features of this sweatshirt one by one.

Material of FIOBOC Sweatshirt

The material used to make a product is the backbone of the manufacturing process. Developing and using quality materials for a product is key to product success in today’s competitive world. Fioboc has done its homework when it comes to materials. This Fioboc sweatshirt is made using graphene fabric.

The unique fabric chosen for this shirt is made with a combination of three materials Cotton, Graphene, and polyester. The overall composition of the fabric is 35% Cotton, 25% Graphene, and 40% Polyester.

Cotton is known for its breathability and comfort.

Polyester adds easy-to-care properties means no wrinkles

Graphene is a lightweight and durable material used for thermal properties to keep warm and dry, plus it adds antimicrobial, anti-static, and anti-odor features to the sweatshirt.

The fabric type of this Fioboc sweatshirt is a knitted fleece. Fine ring spun yarn is used on the front to give a nice clean appearance and feel. A coarser yarn count is used on the inner side to allow the extra raising we get on this sweatshirt.

Overall, the material has a soft hand feel and a thick appearance. The sweatshirt weighs approximately 500 grams, but while using it did not feel heavy.

Usually, knitted fabrics made with polyester mixed yarns tend to start pilling after a couple of uses. This sweatshirt, however, did not show any signs of pilling after use for many days during exercise and sleep.

The combination of material composition, fleece knitting type, and using finer + coarser counts have made this Fioboc sweatshirt durable and a feature-rich product.

For material, I will give it 4.5 out of 5.

Finish & Features of Fioboc Sweatshirt

When we talk about the finish of a garment, it is not limited only to softness or appearance. It’s a multidimensional term used in the garments industry.

This Fioboc sweatshirt is soft outside and inside. Additionally, it has Graphene fibers mixed with cotton and polyester that add many other features like antibacterial, anti-static, moisture wicking, breathability, and durability to this sweatshirt.

Polyester fibers add wrinkle resistance. There is no need to iron the sweatshirt before use. If there are any wrinkles, they will go away after some time.

Below two pictures explain the wrinkle resistance. The picture on the left is when I opened the package. It clearly shows folding marks. The image on the right is after use of 3-4 days, we can see it does not have any wrinkles or folding lines.

All features mentioned above can be a finish of the product. And keeping in mind all the benefits and features, I will give it 5 out of 5 for the finish.

Trims of Fioboc Sweatshirt

Fioboc is not behind in the trims area as well.

The double-knitted stretchable rib used on cuffs and neck makes it easy to put on and off. And the use of the same rib on the bottom opening hem gives a perfect fit around the waist. This double-knitted rib will also keep its shape for an extended period.

In fact, I could stretch the rib on the bottom up to 6-7 inches which returned to its original position after releasing without de-shaping. In my opinion, it is a good stretch and stretch recovery.

The logo, made with knitted terry patchwork on the chest and shoulders, gives this sweatshirt a bold style. However, it may start to come off if the sweatshirt is not washed or used as it should be.

A multicolored ribbon on the back of the neck and a side loop of the same ribbon adds more style to this Fioboc sweatshirt.

A soft woven sew-in label used on the neck is a soft label and does not cause any itchiness or irritation. However, I personally like thermal screen-printed labels instead of woven labels.

Due to the woven sew-in label and a chance of logo patchwork threads coming off, I will give the trims 4.5 out of 5

Stitching of FIOBOC Sweatshirt

This Fioboc sweatshirt is a masterpiece concerning stitching. It is made by cutting front and back panels separately and then joining them with double needle lock stitching and safety overlock. This stitching technique helps the garment stay in shape and avoid fraying on the seams.

It has neat and clean stitching overall. Shoulders have double-needle lock stitching. The stitching is done in a way, to give a piping effect for extra style. The shoulders are also reinforced, with a safety overlock from the inside.

The rib on the bottom is attached using double-needle lock stitching. It is also secured, with a safety overlock on the inside.

Safety overlock sewing on side seams makes sure that side seams are secured enough and will not fray easily.

Both double needle lock stitching and safety over lock have 16 stitches per inch, which is the highest level of stitch per inch used in garments.

With all the above parameters, one thing is sure about this Fioboc sweatshirt it will not de-shape or fray easily.

I found a couple of unclipped threads on the sweatshirt. A finisher should have removed these threads. But it’s not a big issue. Therefore, I will give it 5 out of 5 for stitching.

Fitting & Sizing

We, humans, are always conscious of our appearance and style. A well-fitting and properly sized clothing not only complements our appearance but also adds to our confidence. Therefore, fitting and sizing are the key features that make us like or dislike the garment.

We can compromise on other things. But if the garment does not fit well or the sizing is off, it will make us uncomfortable, and we will not be confident while wearing it. And as a result, such apparel will remain hanging in the closet.

Fitting of FIOBOC Sweatshirt

The Sweatshirt we are talking about is a straight-stitching style sweatshirt. It has a very comfortable and relaxing fit, neither too tight nor too loose. I wore the sweatshirt with and without an undershirt. I wore it under a jacket. Though it has a heavy material, it remained comfortable without causing any tightness or itchiness.

Sizing of Sweatshirt

The sweatshirt comes in 5 sizes, medium to 3 XL.

Fioboc has also done its research on the sizing guide. I wear a medium size but always find size variations among different brands. For some brands, I prefer a small or medium size, and for others, I choose a large one for proper fitting.

Due to this reason, I was not sure if a medium-sized Fioboc sweatshirt should be good for me or not. But I trusted the sizing guide and decided to get a medium one.

Viola, I got a perfect size. And for that reason, I will give 4.5 out of 5 for fit & size.

Comfort of Sweatshirt

Fine knitting on the front, a thick raising on the back, relaxed classic fitting, surprisingly true to size, a soft finish, and other added features due to its material make this stylish Fioboc sweatshirt a comfortable piece of clothing that we can wear all day long during all kinds of activities. 

For comfort, I give it 4.5 out of 5

Durability of Sweatshirt

If like me, you are someone who always looks to have long-lasting clothing. Then this is durable stuff that you should try. I used it continuously for many days it did not show any signs of wear and tear. Then I washed it twice to see the appearance after washing.

The Fioboc sweatshirt retained its shape with no sign of fraying on the hems and seams. Shrinkage was nominal, and the color did not fade. The only thing I am not sure about yet is the pilling. After a couple of washings, it did not show a pilling, but no one knows what will happen after more washing.

However, keeping in mind the quality of this product. I can say that it should last many washes if properly washed according to care instructions.

We can always extend clothes life by flipping them inside out before putting them in a washing machine. I give it 4.5 out of 5 for durability.

Use Cases

If you are looking for one fits all kind of thing, this Fioboc sweatshirt is for you. It is suitable for both casual as well as athletic wear. And if your office does not have a dress code, you can wear it in your office.

I used it as normal daily wear. I wore it while indoor exercise and outdoor activities like walking and running. I used it as thermal wear on cold mornings and even used it as sleepwear. It performed well and beyond expectations in all cases.

I tested it during cold mornings to find how much it can protect against the cold. It helped me to stay out comfortably without wearing any extra clothing on top of it. However, I do not recommend doing it.

During exercise, it just kept me comfortable without giving me a feeling of overheating, cold or excessive sweating. And most importantly, it did not smell bad after use, thanks to the anti-odor properties of Graphene. For useability, I give it 5 out of 5

What I like about this FIOBOC Sweatshirt

There are many features of this sweatshirt that I like.

The quality of materials. Top-class stitching. Classic and bold design. Inherited features like antibacterial, anti-static, wrinkle resistant, thermal properties, moisture wicking, extra raising on the inner side, comfort, and durability are all the features that someone can look for in a garment.

And in addition to the above-mentioned long list of features, its usability for different needs makes this Fioboc sweatshirt a perfect choice for casual and athletic wear.

My Observations about this FIOBOC Sweatshirt

I would love to get a better shipping time. I would also like a thermal screen printed sew-in label on the ribbon attached back of the neck instead of woven labels. But, It is just my preference, not a fault in the garment.
